Twelve New Awards For Dockwise

dockwiseDockwise  announces 12 awards for Heavy Marine Transport (HMT) and engineering projects that have recently been secured by its subsidiary Dockwise Shipping with a total contract value of almost USD 37 million. Dockwise was awarded an engineering contract to provide a FEM (Finite Element Model) analysis for LoneStar Offshore to verify the structural integrity of the SS LoneStar during transit onboard a Dockwise T-class vessel in Q3.   • dwfloat_webAfter nearly two years of engineering, procurement, and project preparations, Dockwise has completed the first of two float-overs for the Vyborg Project in Korea. These pieces were constructed in locations more than 27,000 km apart and the Dockwise vessel the Black Marlin was used to successfully load one of the two topsides for transport to the float-over location Korea, to be joined with a hull that was transported from Vyborg, Russia to Korea by the Talisman. Total revenues for these various commitments are expected to exceed USD 35 million. The relationship between the China National Offshore Oil Corporation, (CNOOC) and Dockwise continues to grow as CNOOC (parent company of COOEC) recognizes Ocean Dynamics Ltd., (ODL), a member of the Dockwise Group of Companies, for its expertise in deepwater jacket and float-over design.   • Mighty Servant 1Between the 13 and 14 September, the Dockwise semi-submersible, heavy-marine transport vessel, Mighty Servant 1, was safely escorted by EUNAVFOR warships through the Internationally Recommended Transit Corridor (IRTC) in the Gulf of Aden. The Mighty Servant 1 is currently transporting the Gjøa Hull from Korea to Norway. The EUNAVFOR Belgian warship Louise-Marie, participating in the European Operation Atalanta, was tasked to escort the  Mighty Servant 1 for two days before handing her over to EUNAVFOR Swedish warships K11, Stockholm and K12, Malmo, which continued the escort.   • Mighty Servant 3

    The fully renewed and reinstated Mighty Servant 3 has rejoined the fleet of Dockwise. The vessel has been under repair at the Grand Bahama Shipyard since January, 2008. The entire vessel has been rebuilt beginning with the steel hull. New machinery, electrical systems and equipment have been installed to the latest standards and designs, using the original functionality and foot print. “This is a reinstatement project in a magnitude that has never been performed before - no one has ever taken a vessel submerged in fifty meters of seawater for five months and brought her back to service.   • Major Offshore Float-over

    Black Marlin

    Dockwise has successfully performed the USD 33 million complete transport and float-over installation of 19,000t MDPP offshore production platform for CPOC located at the JDA Block B-17, C-19 and B-17-01. Dockwise is the main contractor for CPOC, the operator. Preparation for the project included custom-design and fabrication of Leg Mating Units (LMUs) and Deck Support Units (DSUs), mating and mooring analyses and synchronization of transport, structural, marine and installation engineering expertise.
