gjoa_webAutoship Systems Corporation (ASC) has announced the installation of its Autoload onboard stability software on Gjøa, one of the largest projects in the North Sea today. Gjøa’s recoverable reserves are approximately 82 million barrels of oil and condensate and roughly 40 billion standard cubic metres of gas. Gjøa is the first floating platform to get its electricity from the mainland. This will mean a yearly reduction in emissions to the environment of 250,000 t of carbon dioxide. (more…)

  • Gjøa Platform On Its Way

    aker_statoil_webAfter a period of development lasting five years, the Gjøa field is approaching start-up. On Sunday 13 June the field tow  of Gjøa - one of the most modern platforms built in Norway - commenced. Gjøa features innovative solutions by Aker Solutions, based on the company’s experience from more than 50 semi-submersibles.
